Organization Tips for Freshers

Before going into the university or College we used to think that we will manage our university work along with our household work like a pro. But after just two to three days we start losing motivation and the panic sets in.
In this blog post, we will see how could we remain organized in the freshman year of our university. Here I am focusing on the freshman year because if you start in an organized manner then there are higher chances for you to continue being well organized in the years to come.
so without further ado, let's get started...

TIP#1: Backpack Preparation

The most important thing that you will carry with you is your backpack. It must be organized in a way that makes your work easier. So, first of all, try to have a bag in which you can put a laptop, notebooks, and other essential things. Try to put less but necessary items in your bag.

TIP#2: Mobile Management

You will probably gonna use a mobile phone at the university. Check the following items on your phone to use it better:
  • Essential contact numbers
  • Gmail accounts to sync with your Gmail application
  • Gmail notifications are on
  • The photo gallery is unsaturated

TIP#3: Laptop Organization

If you have a laptop for your university work then, you must keep it organized otherwise it will behave horribly. Here, keep a check on the following things:
  • Your laptop must have a Google Chrome browser as well as one other browser. (In case Chrome doesn't work)
  • If you find anything useful then bookmark it in the browser, but always remember to create bookmark folders to keep all the related stuff in one folder.
  • Create a separate folder for each course and try to put these folders on the desktop.
  • Have a clean desktop with only the necessary things.
  • Keep related things in one folder.
  • Before downloading and installing anything revisit the partition of disks on your laptop. And install in the appropriate directory afterward. For example: In the case of Windows; if your C-drive is less then keep the installation in D-Drive which has more space. Moreover, try to consult with a technical person in case of any confusion in this regard.

TIP#4: Have a File

File? For what? For all your important documents, like your fee challan, bank slips and other official documents that you will be having over the university time period, keep a separate file in which you can put them.

TIP#5: Health Management

For this:
  • Try to avoid bakery items and fast food.
  • Try to keep fresh fruits and homemade items for lunch.
  • Try to go to the gym or do some exercise at home or in the dorm.
  • Try to go on a walk (daily)
  • Drink a lot of water
and the last but not the least...

TIP#6: Time Management

You might be thinking that time is of great significance, then why did I write it in the end. The reason is that, if you have an organized bag, mobile, laptop and, health then you will save time and will be able to manage it easily.
As we all know:
Time and Tide wait for None.
so, use it wisely. Freshman year is a base for the next three years to come. Stay Calm, Cool and, Consistent. Everything else will be fine :)
