I don't know what should be the title of this blog post, but let's call it "A survey of the final year university students". Pretty long title, huh?
Okay, let me tell you about this survey...
The story behind this thing:
Well, one day I thought about writing a post on Facebook to ask people about their sentiments and reviews regarding the final year of university life, then another thought knocked my head to write a full blog post on this topic. Then I disseminated a google form for this purpose. The google form was saying:
"Hello, final semester people!
I thought to collect reviews of 2020 graduates specifically of NUST and other IT universities. I am planning to add these to my blog post. Please take a few seconds to fill this form, thank you."
So that was a brief story behind this whole thing,
Now let's have a look at the most awaited questions and the corresponding responses...
Question#1: Do you feel like a better human being now, in your final semester as compared to the time you entered the university?
Responses:
Question#2: Do you think you are a successful person now?
Responses:
Question#3: Are you happy that you are about to graduate?
Responses:
Question#4: Got the job?
Responses:
Question#5: Anything you wished to know before this time? or anything else you want to convey to your juniors?
Responses:
Stay positive and calm. |
1-Do something other than grades 2-Do a search or ask seniors about that "something"; Direction matters the most |
Try everything. Don't think you can't do it, try it and you'll be surprised |
It's okay to not know what you want, but don't get burned out trying to keep every door open. |
Foster your character and learn to live happily and to love people around you. |
Time is money, remain strict on your schedule and avoid emotional things,
it distracts from your schedule. |
Treating yourself is just as important as treating others. |
Focus on International Exposure instead of GPA. |
Never doubt yourself and your capabilities because of the low grades you get. |
I guess it would be avail every opportunity,
don’t be afraid to take some risks.
Never underestimate yourself and surround yourself with positive people. |
Don't waste your time. Skills and good grades are two different things.
If you want to have a startup then focus on skills.
But don't compromise on your studies.
GPA matters. |
Spend your 2nd, 3rd and 4th year in universities,
as if it were your last and work hard to get independent in those years,
so that you don't have to worry about it all after graduation. |
Take full advantage of MOOCs. Whenever you have time on your hands, take up a course. |
Everybody studies nobody admits xD |
Peace. |
Live life to the fullest |
Please learn some programming languages rather than running for GPA |
Know what you want |
Make good memories. Annoy the annoying teachers. Respect the good ones. Career-wise: Join some startup or lab. Take quick decisions. Put your best effort. |
Work hard and focus on skills rather than bloody GPA |
Study |
Party |
Learn something, develop and master at least one skill set. College won't help with that. |
Follow your dreams |
I wish I know about freelancing before coming here, also if I could have more confidence.
and Everyone, you gotta make your professional career/future during the graduation.
So, make your career priority.
Don't waste this time, you'll regret otherwise. |
enjoy these 4 years. This time will not come back. |
Just keep on doing hard work and prefer to gain knowledge rather than passing exams only |
It's a trap |
I wish I had known all that I know now in my 1st and 2nd year |
Do an internship every summer |
Enjoy while it lasts |
Not anything specific |
Apply everywhere. Try everything |
Live each day as if it is your last in university. :) |
I would like my juniors to not be affected too much by peer pressure.
Just let them know that they have different talents :-) |
Focus on human engineering.
Just focus on goals. But don't humiliate anyone to achieve your goals.
Just know what you want to do in your life than grades do not matter.
Your motivation and struggle is the key to success. |
I wish I had given more attention to developing my skills and worried less about marks,
once getting into university. |
Be confident about yourself |
Don't waste time and you can do it if anyone else can |
In the end, I would say:
Just keep moving forward. Live and let live. Have faith. Stay strong. Expert advice is something really good. Become a source of positive energy, hope, and enthusiasm.
