Brain, a computer virus? who wrote this? when? Pakistani? How? Who? ? ? ?
Ohh please calm down, I am giving the answers...

Brain is one of the Boot Sector Computer Virus. Boot sector is the area of the hard disk, CD, DVD, CD-ROM and other storage devices that contains the machine code. The machine code is the one that is loaded into the computer RAM by the built-in firmware of computing system. The main purpose of Boot sector is to boot (start) the computer program loading process into the computer system.🔥🔥🔥

where was I, ya.. 
Brain ! so brain is the First Computer Virus, that is written in September 1986 by Two Pakistani Brothers Amjad Farooq Alvi and Basit Farooq Alvi. They wrote this virus in Lahore, Pakistan.


Brain is sometimes called as "First Virus". This is written for the MS-DOS (Microsoft Disk Operating System). The language used for this virus is Assembly Language. Brain is also the first stealth virus. so it hides itself after infecting the system.

From Where the name Came ?

It is the name of the company Brain telecommunication Ltd. that existed before the virus was written, Brain is the company run by the writers of Brain (virus). And they wrote this Brain in Brain that is why this virus got the name Brain. 😃

So amazing the message is! it is saying all about the writers, even giving the phone numbers of them..

Why did they give their phone numbers?

Mainly, because it is a friendly virus, it looks for the empty storage space in the floppy and silently goes in there, it takes the memory of about 3-7 kilobytes and infects 360 Kilobyte floppy disks. But the good news is that it only infects the floppy, it is afraid of the hard disk... (because it is so hard JK).

Why did they write brain?

Virus writers use social engineering deceptions and exploit detailed knowledge of security vulnerabilities to initially infect systems and to spread the virus.(Got this from wikipedia exactly "only this")
So Viruses can be written for good purpose too. Mr. Basit and Mr. Amjad with the collaboration of some of their friends, wrote this virus for good, they wrote it because they wanted to check the security holes in the operating system. The de-facto operating system was UNIX or LINUX at that time, they also found the vulnerabilities in DOS using Brain. It was mainly written for DOS as told earlier.

so that is all about Brain at my end, this made Pakistan really proud!

Now that you have seen how to get straight A's in the fresher year , you might be thinking; why to get straight A's specifically in the fresher year?  So here is the importance of getting straight A's: In most of the institutes, the fresher year consists of more credit hours than the coming years. So the first year has more stake in your CGPA than any other year.  Good grades, in the beginning, will serve as a motivation for you to perform best in the future, this will increase your morale for improvement and progress. There could be many companies recruiting after the first semester, your better grades will make your way to these companies from the very start.
