How to Become the Best Software Engineer

The word "the best" is the 3rd form of Good. We use "the best" for the thing that is incomparable.

So do you want to be "the best" ? if yes...then read below...

Do you know who invented the wheel? Probably not. But you are using this invention. There is hardly any machine that is not using "the wheel". The concept of machine is vague without the existence of wheel. 

Again I am asking you the question...

Do you know who invented the bulb? Probably yes. Obviously yes. His name was "Thomas Alva Edison". Edison made many inventions and bulb is one of his best. "We" use bulb in our daily lives, without this invention our nights would be the same dark (physically).

Pay attention to the word "We" in the above paragraph.

so yes, my friends if you want to be the best software engineer, then you need or you should create/invent something that is for the whole mankind till the doomsday ...

How? 

(I read it in the book "Khoj" written by Dr. Zeeshan Ul Hassan Usmani, this is really an amazing book, you must read it. You can find it here. )
You need to think that, what can you do in your field (Software Engineering or any other) that is beyond the four things, mentioned below:
  1. Life
  2. Family
  3. Time
  4. Space

For Example? 

The best example is : Our beloved Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) guided the whole mankind, and His teachings are forever, He gave the message of doing work for the welfare of the whole mankind...

See? The work done by Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) was beyond the above mentioned 4 things.
The work done by Thomas Alva Edison and the inventor of wheel was also outside the limitations of these 4 things....

 Let me explain a bit, 

Beyond Life means: Do something, invent something that remain worthwhile even after your existence in this world.

Beyond Family means: Do something that is beneficial for the whole mankind, not just for your own family.

Beyond Time means: Do something that is for all times and eras.

Beyond Space means: Do something that is not confined to certain space, place or region but is for the whole world.


So you as a software engineer or software engineering student must apply these principles on your life goals to become "The Best Software Engineer!"

John went to the cafeteria 10 times at 1:00 P.M. on 10 Fridays, each time the cafeteria was closed at that particular time. Pintos : Series : Part3 : Project 1 : Alarm Clock

The PintOS project has 27 test cases that we need to pass. In the first project we are just going for the five test cases related to alarm clock that are as under: alarm_multiple alarm_single alarm_simultaneous alarm_negative alarm_zero But before jumping into the code, let's first understand the basic structure of PintOS and how it runs. Consider the following diagram: Here QEMU is an emulator on which pintOS runs. Test cases are the processes that we run on the PintOS (Operating System). So we only need to modify the PintOS code, we are not allowed to make any change to the test cases code as this would be a cheating. When you open up the PintOS directory, in tests/threads/tests.c all the test cases are declared. And in the tests/threads/ directory you can observe files with the extension " .ck " and " .c ".
